MV Princess Rani is an outstanding wooden motor yacht built in 2008 in the Maldives. It is part of the Macana liveaboard fleet, owned and operated by an experienced Italian team.
The vessel is equipped with stabilizers and ultra-silent engines for comfortable navigation on the Indian Ocean. Diving safaris of 8-10 days are scheduled to all the Maldives’ exciting dive sites, choosing the best itineraries each time of the year.
The Princess Rani is also available as a charter. She specializes in wedding arrangements with romantic ceremonies in breathtaking locations.
Princess Rani Maldives has 11 cabins. 4 upper deck large double bed cabins, five lower deck triples, and two lower deck doubles for a total of 22 passengers.
All have a private bathroom with hot and cold water showers, are individually climatized, and have comfortable canopy beds for maximum privacy.
Rooms are suitable for everybody, including solo travelers and families with children of all ages.
An international crew of 13 speaks English and Italian and offers attentive and discrete service. Guests have a choice of numerous indoor and outdoor leisure areas, including three sun decks and a whirlpool.
The cool lounge features a bar, Wi-Fi internet, TV, DVD, computers, and a library. Therapeutic body and spirit treatments are available at our wellness center.
We have an onboard babysitting service and animation team for youngsters.
A cruise with one of the princesses of the Macana fleet is also a memorable gastronomical experience. The chef prepares a fusion of Asian and Italian delights, served as appetizing buffets.
The special pastry chef spoils the guests with sweet and savory in-betweens, fresh bread, and great pizzas. A barbecue on a deserted tropical island can be part of the culinary fun. Children and vegetarians will have plenty to feast on.
We can cater to people with special diets with prior notice.
The Maldives belong to the top of the scuba diving destinations in the world. The enormous variety of underwater sceneries and lifeforms will blow the mind of every spectator. Regardless of the level of diving skills, there is plenty to experience for everyone.
You can anticipate seeing whale sharks, manta rays, and several species of reef sharks on many of the dive spots.
Children can join in snorkel safaris and even participate in a ‘try dive’ with European instructors. The advanced divers can use nitrox and partake in thrilling drift dives.
Divemasters and dhoni’s assure surface coverage at all times. Special courses and rental equipment are available. Alternative sportive and leisure activities will be proposed.

Please trust the experienced crews to choose the right route; the crew has years of experience in service, and they know how to make the most out of each cruise. At the start of each safari, a rough route will be confirmed, followed by daily briefings on what specific dive sites will be visited. Before each dive, you will be thoroughly briefed and shown a map of the dive site.
