Pindito liveaboard enterprise has been operating since 1992. Our know-how in this field of tourism is unmatched in the ever-growing fleet of Indonesian liveaboards.
The ship was refitted in 2006 to meet modern standards and equip it with a top-notch camera room.
Our itinerary brings you to the best destinations Indonesia has to offer. We organize special trips like family cruises for parents who want to bring their kids. Our dedicated snorkeling trips to remote and pristine shallow reefs make many guests come back and join the SMY Pindito crew again.
Pindito liveaboard Indonesia offers two twin cabins and six double cabins that can accommodate up to 16 guests. (Possibly more if you rent a cabin as a family, discount rates may apply).
All the cabins are teak wood-paneled and named after one of the magical islands we come across. Choices are a spacious double bed or twin beds plus an upper bunk.
All cabins have individually controlled air conditioning, ensuites with cold and hot running water, electrical outlets, and daily housekeeping.
MV Pindito’s team consists of 17 friendly crew members devoted to your well-being and happiness. In the lounge area, guests can read, share videos/photos, and meet for meals. Computers are available to create memories from your dives.
Beside the lounge, MV Pindito liveaboard has plenty of other shared relaxing spaces. The bow and the sun deck are the most popular, especially in early mornings and around sunset.
Pindito liveaboard Indonesia provides its guests with international cuisine prepared by expert chefs.
Breakfast is in two different slots. Before the first dive, we serve a continental breakfast. After the first dive, a big breakfast buffet will be ready for you.
Lunch and dinner have a great choice of western and Asian cuisine. Just make sure you leave some room for the desserts. Alcoholic beverages are available after the last dive of the day.
Pindito liveaboard diving cruises bring you to the best dive sites around Komodo, Raja Ampat, Halmahera, and Alor.
The professional dive guides provide you with personal attention while scuba diving and onboard SMY Pindito. While diving, they will point out all kinds of exciting marine life and exciting points.
The dive deck offers ample space to gear up for your dive. The crew onboard is accommodating and will carry your dive gear and camera equipment to one of the three operating zodiacs.
After the dive, you can rinse equipment and cameras in freshwater containers. There are plenty of hangers around for drying your gear, and each diver will have a box for their equipment. Each day you get the opportunity to participate in 4 diving sessions.
We specially designed a camera room for underwater photographers and videographers with plenty of storage space, professional-grade working, and charging stations.

Pindito liveaboard provides diving safaris since 1992. With years of experience around West Papua Province, a dive vacation not to be missed.
The cruise runs from Sorong, West Papua’s capital, to Ambon, the Moluccas capital (or vice versa). Here is an example itinerary: The cruise starts from Ambon in Saparua and Nusa Laut’s direction to the Banda Islands. Following the east coast of Ceram, we head directly to the islands around Misool. We continue via Jef Fam into the Dampier Straight before the journey ends in Sorong.
West Papua, known locally as Irian Jaya, is a unique dive region. Probably the best-known archipelago is “Raja Ampat,” which roughly means “united kingdom.” The area has over 1,500 islands. The four main islands are Misool, Salawati, Batanta, and Waigeo.
The word “fantastic” summarizes the region “Raja Ampat” well. Photo-and videographers find the best opportunities to create macro shots at their finest. But also wide-angle shots of the beautiful reef life are recommended.
Typically, we schedule four dives a day depending on weather conditions (More dives per day are available when Pindito is anchored or moored safely over a calm reef. Inquire with your divemaster about when you can expect additional dive availability):
Dive Areas Visited: Nusa Laut, Banda Neira, Koon, Misool, Dampier Strait
Marine Life: There are countless dive sites, all with different characters. The attentive viewer can find all sorts of “macro-animals” in crevices and on terraces of steep walls. “Raja Ampat” is also a Mecca for lovers of pygmy seahorses. These cute dwarf seahorses are found here in every shape and color, red, yellow, orange, purple, or white. Other places offer an overflowing abundance of fish along exposed underground rock saddles. Napoleon fish, mobulas, white tip reef sharks, and schools of other pelagic fish can be seen in the blue when you can drag your attention away from the walls. Manta rays, barracuda, rare wobbegong, and epaulette sharks guarantee plenty of variety.
Please Note: Pindito puts great importance on planning the best possible tour for their guest. When planning the route, many factors play an important role. The most crucial factor is the weather. Since there can be storms in the tropics at any time, Pindito might change routes and itineraries at short notice.
