Sea Safari Cruises is an Indonesian shipping company specializing in liveaboard holidays in the eastern part of the archipelago. A fleet of 5 domestic schooners sails the ocean year-round to proudly show their passengers the wonders of Indonesia. Our successful formula is based on a mix of tradition and modernity, luxury and adventure. KLM Sea Safari VI is the smallest vessel in the Sea Safari fleet. Her home port is in Raja Ampat for 6 months and in Komodo for the rest of the year.

ACCOMMODATION

Our yacht accommodates 20 guests in 10 excellent rooms. All have a private bathroom, washbasin and air conditioner. On the upper deck are 4 staterooms with double beds or twin beds. On the main deck are 2 staterooms with double beds. These staterooms have large windows and doors giving direct access to the outside gangway. On the lower deck are 4 deluxe cabins with double beds or twin beds. These cabins have portholes and doors to the inside hallway.

COMFORT

Our friendly personnel are happy to support and serve you in every way. The indoor restaurant with air conditioner gives panoramic views of the seascapes. The lounge offers audio & video entertainment, a library and a coffee machine. The shaded outside bar on the upper deck adjoins the sunny top deck with reclining deck chairs. Everything on our liveaboard is directed to your convenience.

CATERING

Sea Safari Cruises takes pride in indulging their guests with healthy and delicious food. Chefs on board are qualified professionals. Meals include early morning breakfast and cooked breakfast after the first dive. lunch and dinner are served as abundant buffets with surprising choices of international origin. Vegetarian food is always obtainable. If you have special demands concerning your diet, please let us know prior to your trip.

DIVING

Raja Ampat holds over 75% of all known coral species and over 1,500 species of fish. The Komodo National Park is rich in marine life, including whale sharks, manta rays and vibrant coral reefs. Diving and snorkelling in these waters is a dazzling experience. The dedicated dive deck houses all the amenities for a comfortable dive. Nitrox is available. Our diving guides will bring you to seldom visited spots of unbelievable beauty. Kayaking, fishing and land excursions can make part of our leisure activities.

ITINERARIES

These are example itineraries to give you an indication of the liveaboard cruises. The final cruise might be different due to weather, sea conditions and/or guest experience. The final call is always with the boat manager and the captain of the liveaboard. This to ensure your safety as well as to give you a dive holiday never to forget.

Raja Ampat

 

      • Departure Port: Sorong
      • Return Port: Sorong
      • Length: 7 Days / 6 Nights (Approximately 18 dives in total)
      • Experience level: Open Water – 30 minimum logged dives required.

      Day 1: Arrive in Sorong at the newly built Dominique Edward Osok airport. Our representative will be waiting outside the arrival hall and ready to escort you to the ship for immediate boarding. Our Safety Briefing, Safety DVD, Crew Introduction, Necessary Dive Paperwork, Cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place before departing Sorong Harbour. During the journey to our first dive site take this opportunity to familiarize yourselves with the vessel and make yourself comfortable.
      Meals: Lunch, Dinner
      Dive: Check Dive at Black Rock or Yum Slope

      Day 2: Penemu Island – Melissa’s Garden, Barracuda Reef, Galaxy, Anita’s Garden. All of these dive sites offer world-class diving, fantastic corals and a huge amount of fish. Because the substrate at Melissa’s Garden is exceedingly delicate, absolute attention to good buoyancy is required. Also, this is a good chance to trek to one of the most famous viewpoints in the region.
      Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
      Dive : 3 day dives + 1 night dive + trekking.

      Day 3: Yanggefo Island –  Myhem, Citrus Ridge, Gam Ridge, and Mangroves. This area offers some truly unique environments to dive in. The vibrant orange soft corals of Citrus Ridge provide a stunning backdrop to this site, home to barracudas, bumphead parrotfish and sea snakes are common here. Myhem offers schools of bat fish, surgeon fish and snappers with the occasional Wobbegong sleeping under the coral heads. Gam Ridge is a good place to spot Eagle and Mobula rays. The Mangroves offer some stunning photo opportunities, diving late in the day around 4 pm when the sun is low in the sky gives some stunning shafts of light in the mangrove shallows.

      Dive : 3 day dives + 1 night dive

      Day 4: Airborek Island – Manta Sandy, Manta Ridge, Airborek Island & Jetty. Manta Sandy and Manta Ridge are two of the most reliable Manta congregation spots in the Dampier Strait. Here you can look at the majestic animals somersaulting through the water while they are cleaned by several species of Wrasse and even Butterflyfish. The Jetty at Airborek offers unique photo opportunities of the long wooden pillars covered with soft corals and sea fans, if you are lucky the local kids will be at play, jumping in the water eager to get on your photo reel. Airborek Jetty offers one of the best night dives in Raja Ampat where Blue Ring Octopus, Harlequin Shrimp and Wobbegong are often seen.

      Dive : 3 day dives + 1 night dive

      Day 5: Dampier Strait – Mikes Point, Sardine Reef, Mioskon and Friwinbondan. Before dive activities begin we have an early rise, we go in search of the Red Bird of Paradise at Sawingkrai Village on Gam. We then continue to Mike’s Point. Schooling sweetlips, patroling blacktip reef sharks and interesting macro subjects such as small octopus and shrimp thrive in these craggy coral niches. Sardine Reef. Actually, sardines are not found at this site but you won’t miss them. Fusiliers, Surgeonfish, Trevally, Rainbow Runners, Sweetlips and Bannerfish crowd the open water and swarm over a reef decorated with sea fans. Mioskon Reef is home to hundreds of lined snappers that usually cover the slope, schools of glassfish hide in coral bommies and Wobbegongs are very common here. Friwinbondan offers a good night dive with Nudibranches, many shrimps and if you are lucky a Walking Shark (Epaulette shark)

      Dive : 3 day dives + 1 night dive + trekking

       

      Day 6: Kri island – Cape Kri, Cape Mansuar, located in the Dampier Strait on Mansuar & Kri Islands. This site is one of the top dives in Raja. Cape Kri is recorded as having the most amount of fish species counted on a single dive by renown ichthyologist Dr Gerald Allen. Cape Mansuar is not far behind with large schools of barracuda, surgeonfish, bumphead parrotfish and many friendly turtles. A perfect way to end your trip.

      Dive: 2-morning dives

      Day 7: After breakfast, prepare for disembarkation. Be ready to leave the boat and you will be transferred to Sorong Airport. Your diving journey has ended and we shall look forward to welcoming you onboard again.

      Marine Life: At least 75 percent of all coral species can be found in Raja Ampat, divers can expect a range of topography from soft corals and sea fans, to hard corals, seagrass beds, mangroves, shallow reefs, deep drop-offs, caves, black sand and white sand. Giant manta rays, sea turtles, sharks, cuttlefish, pipefish, various seahorse species and massive schools of reef fish are the norm, plus the delightful wobbegong sharks and epaulette sharks inhabit these waters too

      All divers must have Open Water certification with at least 25 logged dives in the past 5 years. If the diver fails to meet this requirement, Sea Safari Cruises will require the diver to hire a private dive master to make sure the safety of the diver during the diving activity. The fee for a private dive master will be 50 USD/day. All divers must produce a written/stamped logbook with your last dives and all necessary certification cards for the type of dives they wish to undertake.

Ternate - Bangka - Lembeh

Day 1: Ternate
Welcome to Ternate, please find our representative in the airport. They will send you to Harbour to meet Sea Safari Boat. Welcome drink will be served to welcome you on board. Safety procedure, cabin allocation and introduction will take place.

Day 2 – 5: We offer 3-4 dives daily, including a night dive if possible. When crossing only 2 dives a day can be scheduled.

Day 6: Final day of diving with 1-2 scheduled dives – sailing towards Lembeh.

Day 7: Lembeh
After breakfast and check-out, we start preparing for disembarkation in Lembeh. We say goodbye to our guests and wish them farewell! Sea Safari crew will organize the transfer to the Airport and assist at check-in for onward flights.

Lembeh- Sangihe Talaud - Lembeh

    • Length: 7 Days / 6 Nights (Approximately 19 dives in total)
    • Experience level: Open Water – 50 minimum logged dives required.

    Day 1: Lembeh Strait – Located at Northern of Sulawesi, the best muck diving in the world and a heaven for macro photography. The dive sites in Lembeh are generally sand, rock, muck or rubble, but a couple of sites have nice coral and walls.

    Dive: 1-day dive (don’t worry, we’ll be back here later)Day 2: Biaro & Tagulandang Island – Biaro island is the first island in Sangihe Chain, a large flooded caldera which opens to the sea on the western side provides a beautiful sheltered spot. The very best dive sites around this area are Zacharias and Bomb Rock. Tagulandang is at the north of Biaro, the larger island but all the dive sites lie around Ruang. Ruang has 2 big lava flows. New lava has huge schools of fish and black lava rock that make a stunning contrast to the abundant coral growth and marine life.

    Dives: 3-day dives

    Day 3: Siau & Makalehi Island – Karangetang Volcano in Siau is the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. At night you are able to see the volcano is glowing. This is going to be more impressive dive site with marine life and beach with hot spring. We will anchor at a small island call Batu Lehi, Thousand of species you can find here and the hot spring water is relaxing because it comes directly from volcanic spring. Makalehi island is located to the west of Siau surrounding by a fringing reef. Here we have dive sites with pinnacles of beauty (strong current), schools of jacks, fusiliers, bannerfish and a lot of pristine coral.

    Dives: 3 day dives + 1 night dives

    Day 4: Bangka and Gangga Island – Bangka island located at the north of Sulawesi. These islands are quite exposed and often get strong currents that come from all directions. From all the dive sites you will be expecting to see a number of steep pinnacles rising up from the depths, with many colourful of soft coral, Napoleon, morays and scorpion fish.

    Dives: 3 day dives + 1 night dive

    Day 5: Bunaken National Park – The island of Bunaken in the Bunaken National park is related in the top 10 best dive side in the World. Diving at Bunaken National Park you will witness some of the high levels of biodiversity in the world, with a variety of fish, world-class walls, the clear and warm water contain an astonishingly high number of species, whether it be corals, sponge or fish. Water temperature all year around 26-29 degree. With many wonderful sites, we will spend 2 days here to take our time to explore the best of Bunaken.

    Dives: 3 day dives + 1 night dives

    Day 6: Lembeh Strait and Tangkoko Tour – When we arrive at Tangkoko, you will enter to the park and introduce park ranger who guide us through the park and explain about the Flora and Fauna of this amazing park. We recommend all the guests wearing trousers & long sleeve shirt, walking shoes, torch and mosquito repellent. During the journey, you may see Celebes Tarsier Spectral, one of the smallest primates in the world. The Maleo Bird, and Amazing Red Knobbed Hornbill. We will head back to Lembeh strait to dive the areas where we missed on the first day.

    Dives: 2-day dives

    Day 7: Bitung Habour – Time to say Good Bye with our lovely guests; We will disembark at Belitung harbour. Our representative will send you to the airport or Hotel.

Ambon- Banda Niera - Ambon

    Day 1: Ambon
