Pindito enterprise has been operating since 1992. Our know-how in this field of tourism is unmatched in the ever-growing fleet of liveaboards. The ship was refitted in 2006 to meet modern standards and to equip it with a top-notch camera room. Our itinerary brings you to the best destinations Indonesia has to offer. We organize special trips like family cruises for parents who want to bring their kids. Our dedicated snorkelling trips to remote and pristine shallow reefs make many guests come back and join the Pindito crew again.

ACCOMMODATION

Pindito liveaboard offers two twin cabins and six double cabins that can accommodate up to 16 guests. (Possibly more if you rent a cabin as a family, discount rates may apply). All the cabins are teak wood panelled and named after one of the magical islands we come across. Choices are a spacious double bed or twin beds plus upper bunk. All cabins have individually controlled air conditioning, ensuites with cold and hot running water, electrical outlets and daily housekeeping.

COMFORT

Our team consist of 17 friendly crew members devoted to your well-being and happiness. In the lounge area, guests can read, share videos/photos and meet for meals. Computers are available to create memories from your dives. Beside the lounge, MV Pindito has plenty of other shared relaxing spaces. The bow and the sun deck are the most popular, especially early mornings and around sunset.

CATERING

Professional chefs prepare delicious food on our liveaboard. Breakfast is in two different slots. Before the first dive, we serve a continental breakfast. After the first dive, a big breakfast buffet will be ready for you. Lunch and dinner have a great choice of western and Asian cuisine. Just make sure you leave some room for the desserts. Alcoholic beverages are available after the last dive of the day.

DIVING

The dive deck offers ample space to gear up for your dive. The crew on board is very helpful and will carry your dive gear and camera equipment to one of the 3 operating zodiacs. After the dive, you can rinse equipment and cameras in fresh water containers. For drying your gear there are plenty of hangers around and each diver will have a box for their personal equipment. Each day you get the opportunity to participate in 4 diving sessions

ITINERARIES

These are example itineraries to give you an indication of the liveaboard cruises. The final cruise might be different due to weather, sea conditions and/or guest experience. The final call is always with the boat manager and the captain of the liveaboard. This to ensure your safety as well as to give you a dive holiday never to forget.

Day 1
Your Pindito vacation starts with a pick up from Denpasar airport in Bali and transfer to the jetty where the elegant wooden yacht and its crew greets you and the other lucky guests that will share this amazing diving safari with you. A welcome briefing will help you familiarise yourself with the beautiful boat and its daily schedule. Unpack your stuff, relax and enjoy the sunset dinner while Pindito gets ready to take you to the best dive sites in Komodo. All meals are buffet style, mainly influenced by Asian cuisine, featuring meat, fish and a variety of side dishes. You can expect curries, satay and deep fried delicacies that you can’t miss, along with international choices prepared by a well trained chef.

Days 2-11
After a continental breakfast all divers and guides meet on the dive deck for the dive briefing of the 1st morning dive. Expect to witness the beauty of the Komodo National Park and Sumbawa from the very first dives till the end of your trip. You will be pleased to discover pristine coral reefs, sponges, sea fans and an explosion of marine life in different sizes and shapes. The strong currents at Banta island will bring big fish encounters, while more soft corals and reef fish will be seen around Komodo where the water is cooler. The liveaboard will also visit Moyo island in Sumbawa during the safari, which is famous for its clear waters, healthy corals and probably one of the best reefs you will see during the trip: beautiful corals, reef sharks, sea snakes and a lot more. One of the highlights of the cruise will be a visit to the Komodo dragons that live exclusively in Indonesia, as well as a tour of Sangeang island and its two active volcanoes, the Doro Api and Doro Montoi that generate the hot underwater springs you will experience underwater. Pancakes, a la carte eggs, freshly baked bread, jams, and hot drinks will be served between the 2 morning dives, then the afternoon dive will be scheduled at around 14:30 hrs, after a delicious lunch and a deserved rest. The lounge is the place where everyone gathers to enjoy the meals, and to watch videos or photos taken by the guests during the trip. A 4th dusk or night dive, depending on customers’ preferences, will start after dinner.
Please note that there are only 2 morning dives on the last full day of the trip in Flores: countless nudibranchs, frogfish and seahorses, plus batfish and barracudas can be found near the port of Maumere.

Day 12
Farewell day unfortunately has arrived. After an early breakfast you will be transferred to Maumere airport. Please note that the trip sometimes runs in reverse or has differing ports – check above for details.
