ACCOMMODATION

Aboard you’ll feel like you are in a floating tropical boutique hotel. All of the cabins have been masterfully designed for comfort and aesthetics. Spacious floor plans, luxurious bathrooms and modern décor create a classy environment. All interior spaces are air-conditioned. The Pelagian offers 4 options for accommodation: Master suite, Superluxe cabin, Deluxe cabin and Standard cabin. There is a choice of side-by-side beds or walk-around queen-sized or king-sized beds. The master suite provides all the facilities one would expect of an upscale hotel suite. All staterooms offer en-suite bathroom facilities, separate dressing areas and wardrobes.

COMFORT

The main salon is the gathering place for both meals and relaxation, with an adjacent lounge area where guests can enjoy the integrated entertainment and media centre. The yacht also offers sheltered and open outdoor lounge areas near the bow and on the top deck. There is a designated camera room/workshop with ample counter space and charging capacity to support photo- and video devotees. With a full-time crew of 12, the Pelagian provides five-star service and personal attention.

CATERING

A Pelagian cruise is also a 5-star gastronomic trip. The onboard culinary staff delivers a menu that combines Indonesian delicacies and fresh-caught seafood with international cuisine. The kitchen is able to handle any special dietary request and will gladly add a guest’s favourite to the menu. À la carte service guarantees everyone’s palate will be satisfied. The waitress of our well-stocked bar will fix or mix your favourite drinks and help you to select the perfect wines to accompany your dishes.

DIVING

Our dive guides take pride in providing the best possible in-water experiences for every individual guest. Rather than following a set itinerary, each cruise is planned according to seasons, weather and most important, guest preferences. Diving stunning Wakatobi encompasses a range of underwater playgrounds including steep walls, drift dives, caverns, along with world-class muck diving sites. A typical day provides up to four diving sessions, plus frequent opportunities for night diving.

These are example itineraries to give you an indication of the liveaboard cruises. The final cruise might be different due to weather, sea conditions and/or guest experience. The final call is always with the boat manager and the captain of the liveaboard. This to ensure your safety as well as to give you a dive holiday never to forget.

Raja Ampat National Park
Departs: 8 October 2018 from Sorong at 13:00 hrs
Returns: 16 October 2018 to Sorong at 09:00 hrs

Day 1
After a quick 10 minute complimentary transfer from Sorong airport to the harbour, you can embark on a fabulous diving vacation with Pearl of Papua. Listen to the boat briefing, and then set up your dive gear in readiness for the diving ahead. Have lunch with the other guests that will share this adventure with you. In the afternoon there will be a check dive at Pulau Mioskon. Enjoy dinner at dusk then it is all about spending time on getting to know the crew and the divers better, while Pearl of Papua makes its journey to the next dive site.

Days 2-8
Wake up to an early continental breakfast. There are 4 scheduled dives every day, except on the last day when only 2 morning dives will be conducted before Pearl of Papua starts its way back to Sorong. Food will never be a problem though! There will be a second breakfast following the 1st dive which is at 07:30 hrs. Lunch will follow the 2nd dive which is scheduled for 11:30 hrs. Expect to try some dishes with Indonesian influences, freshly prepared by the chef using seafood or various meats. There will also be plenty of salads and fruits to enjoy, and don’t feel guilty of taking advantages of the snacks that are placed in a basket and available all day. On each dive you will see so many different marine species that eventually you will no longer wonder why Raja Ampat is known as the most biodiverse marine region in the world. From frogfish to mantas, pygmy seahorses to wobbegong sharks, there will be many unforgettable encounters on your cruise! The 3rd dive in the afternoon is usually shallower, giving you more chances of spotting macro life and reef fishes. During the 4th dive (night dive) you will have a completely different experience since you will enter the water after sunset. Step back on board, shower and enjoy dinner and a tasty dessert.

Day 9
Arise to a continental breakfast, goodbyes and more photos with the crew. Then you will be transferred to Sorong airport. The cruise director will also help you with check in procedures.

Cenderawasih Bay

Enjoy dinner at dusk then it is all about spending time on getting to know the crew and the divers better, while Pearl of Papua makes its journey to the next dive site.
