Day 2 – 10
This Central Atolls cruise offers adventure at some of the most incredible dive sites in the Maldives. There are still quiet spots within the Central Atolls, and you’ll probably be so amazed by the marine life that having company does not make a huge difference.
Discover manta points, hammerheads and experience the exhilarating channel diving amongst amazing critters. Whale shark, grey reef shark, napoleon wrasse, spotted eagle ray, reef manta ray, The dive sites of the South Ari Atoll are popular for photo opportunities of healthy reefs, prolific marine life and large pelagic encounters. There are plenty of channel dives where you can drift along looking out for large pelagic encounters, including turtles, sharks and rays.

Felidhoo Atoll
With dive sites for beginning divers and experts alike, the area is well known for its manta ray and whale shark encounters. There are more than fifteen named dive sites around the atoll, all of which are special in their own right. Felidhoo Atoll, is a fantastic place where you can observe big pelagic fish. This area is a great spot for meeting up with different shark species as well.
There is a strong current here so it is best for more experienced divers, but that is the main reason why the marine life is so rich and fascinating. Whale sharks are common here at certain times of year, particularly on the east side of the atoll. You will also be treated to encounters with huge schools of fish such as barracuda, snapper and trevally.

Ari Atoll
Ari Atoll is not the place to look for beautiful corals. With lots of Thilas, giris and kandus where the current can be strong it is more a dive destination to encounter the bigger fish of the ocean. With Hammerheads, Manta Rays and on some dive spots Whale sharks.
Manta Rays elegantly swim through the warm clear waters surrounding the many tranquil atolls and islands. With waters packed full of life and plenty of large pelagic species the Maldives is one of the most exciting places in the underwater world to dive.
