Mermaid 2 liveaboard was built-in 2000 and recently renovated to modern standards; this steel motor ship with a length of 33 meters caters to 18 guests.

Dive trips can vary from 8 to 16 days. Destinations include Raja Ampat, Banda Sea, Ambon, Alor, Maumere, Komodo, Bali, Halmahera, and Lembeh.
Mermaid 2 liveaboard accommodates its guests in 9 cabins. The main deck is eight deluxe cabins (7sqm) with large panoramic sea view windows, single beds and a double bed, convenient storage facilities, and an ensuite bathroom.
Belowdecks we have a budget cabin (7 sqm) with two bunks and a shared bathroom. All our cabins are suitable for two persons maximum. Each has individual climate control.
MV Mermaid ii English-speaking crew of 20 is always at your service. The attractive salon is situated on the upper deck, where enjoying videos or music is next to reading and socializing.
The spacious sundeck is equipped with comfy beds and a shaded outside seating area. Several outdoor lounge areas are furnished with cushioned sofas, perfect for après dive relaxation. Massage is offered as an extra luxury.
Our buffet menus include breakfast, lunch, in-between snacks, and dinner. We serve a combination of Indonesian, Thai, and Western cuisine in our restaurant.

Whether you are a beginner or a fully skilled diver, our experienced divemasters and instructors will introduce you to the magnificent and serene underwater world.
The dive deck and dive platform provide you with the comfort and practicalities needed to ensure a relaxing dive. We have rinse tanks, showers, and a camera table. Divers can choose to use air or nitrox.
Courses are available onboard as well as a rental service for all your diving and snorkeling gear. A custom build zodiac will bring you to the site of your choice and safely back to the ship.

Day 4: If the tide is right, we hunt grey reef sharks and dolphins at Taka Toko Gili Lawa Laut. Dive 2 is a fast drift with pelagics and manta at Lighthouse Reef or the Old Passage. Then, Crystal Rock excellent soft corals and the chance for sharks, turtles, giant Maori wrasse, a ‘fish soup” dive with a high probability of eagle rays too! Then, we cruise south for fascinating night dive at Pink Beach near the Komodo National Park entrance.
Day 5: Start your day with an exciting visit to Komodo National Park to walk with the dragons! Then, relax as we cruise 2 hours south to Horseshoe Bay Raja Island. Spectacular diving awaits at the world-famous site Cannibal Rock – rare nudibranchs, frogfish, stunning corals, sponges, ascidians, substantial black coral bushes, turtles, cuttlefish, loads of reef fish too. Watch dragons on the beach, monkey, deer, wild pigs along the shore, go beachcombing. Maybe even a chance to follow whales and dolphins feeding in the calm bay. Then, we say goodbye to Komodo National Park with a fabulous Night dive at Gili Banta with Coral Cat Shark, or we cruise west, enjoying a post dinner night dive along the way.
