27m long Maavahi Maldives liveaboard with a wooden hull is a wide traditional Maldivian cruiser perfect for round-the-year dive trips to the stunning outer atolls of the Maldives. Built in 1998 and revamped in 2009, Maavahi Maldives is the ultimate choice for a memorable diving holiday with its three spacious decks, seven beautiful and top-notch cabins, and outstanding service onboard.
Due to catering to a limited number of guests on the board, Maavahi offers a bespoke diving experience with personalized service in an exclusive environment.
With an array of options to relax and enjoy on the cruise with open-air and indoor lounging having a well-lit interior, spacious sundeck, and fully-stocked bars, to let you have the best diving holiday of your life.
The beautiful and lavishly decorated Maavahi is large enough to comfortably accommodate up to 14 people in 7 spacious cabins, all of which are situated on the lower deck.
All the cabins feature twin bunk beds, and are beautifully furnished to give off warmth, and are fully equipped with privately adjustable air-conditioning, ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold showers, charging docks, a small wardrobe for storage, reading lights, and an extra fan in case you do not want to utilize the air-conditioning.
Maavahi Maldives provides ample space off and onboard to unwind between the dives or socialize with your partner or fellow divers. The upper deck has a shaded sun deck where you can laze around when you do not feel like getting a tan. The sundeck is quite spacious and has many sun loungers to let the guests relax while soaking up the sun or stargazing or feel the soft ocean breeze while looking for the dolphins swimming around in the breathtaking Maldivian waters.
The indoor salon on the main deck offers sufficient space and options like a sizeable flat-screen TV, which you can use to play your favorite movies or photos/videos from your day’s dive. The saloon also has a stereo system, a range of cards, and board games.
Besides diving, Maavahi offers several water sports activities that include surfing, snorkeling, cruising, fishing, and guided visits to the local Islands.
Onboard Maavahi Maldives, the private chef, is prepared for tasty and exquisite meals of international and local origins. They are served thrice a day in the large indoor dining area, which is fully air-conditioned.
You can also enjoy your delicious meals in the open-air dining area of the upper deck, where you can treat yourself to the fantastic views of the ocean while sipping on your favorite drink from the bar.
Not only meals, snacks, and beverages are also served all day long to satiate your taste buds and quench your thirst. A delicious barbeque is organized once during your liveaboard diving trip on a desert island.
Special dietary requirements due to religious reasons or allergies can be catered to upon request.
The Maavahi liveaboard makes dive safaris under the supervision of the experienced dive guides to the best atolls to let the passionate divers discover the wonderfully diverse marine life of the Maldives. You can expect encounters with reef sharks, whale sharks, eagle rays, turtles, and giant manta rays.
If you have like drift diving, then The Deep South itineraries are ideal for you to come across tiger and thresher sharks.
Dive trips are conducted from a support vessel called dhoni, consisting of up-to-date diving and navigation equipment and safety gear to ensure a safe and smooth diving trip. Night dives are arranged at least once a trip.
