Sample Itinerary: All schedules are subjected to changes according to weather, sea & diving conditions.
Day 1: (0-2 dives) 3 pm. Our staff will meet you at Frans Seda Airport and take you to the awaiting Blue Manta. Arrivals before midday are best so we can make check dive(s)in Maumere; Pulau Babi or Pulau Besar before we get underway by 3 pm for overnight sail.
Day 2: (4 dives) South Komodo; Manta Alley to fly with mantas, Cannibal Rock, Torpedo Alley at Nusa Kode.
Day 3: -4 dives) South Komodo, Padar Island; one of our favorite regions in the park with some stunning and diverse dive sites such as 3 Sisters andPillarsteen.Plus, visit Pink Beach.
Day 4: (4 dives) North Komodo; Castle Rock, Crystal Rock,&Shot Gun at Gili Lawa Laut. Pinnacles drift dives full of action with hunting fish; jacks & sharks!
Day 5: North Komodo; Tatawa Besar & Kecil, Siaba Kecil,&Wainilu.Tons of Anthias, Napoleon wrasse, sharks,& excellent night dive.
Day 6: (4dives) North Komodo; Batu Balong & Mantas on the Moon (Makassar Reef).
Day 7: (2 dives) North Komodo; Siaba Bay plus Mawan or Pengah. This followed by a walk on the wide side in search of Komodo Dragons, and trekking on one of the local Islands. Then, we sail towards Labuan Bajo, where you spend last night on Blue Manta in Bajo Port. Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, rest &relaxation, and if need be, an early flight on Trip Departure day.
Day 8: (0 dives) 5 am-12 pm; Check out after light breakfast & farewells, we transfer to local hotel or airport in time for Check-in & flight. Take your pre-booked flight from Labuan Bajo to Bali
Diving days: 7 days (22 dives)
Starting in beautiful Maumere, surrounded by volcanoes and mountains, we begin our journey discovering the outer pristine coral reefs and walls. Komodo National Park is one of the most iconic diving destinations in Indonesia, famed for its unique blend of adrenaline-pumping current fueled dives, stunning coral reefs, beautiful scenery, and of course the world's largest lizard, the Komodo Dragon.
The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip at around noon. Divers are recommended to wait for 24hours before flying after the last dive.
Everyone is welcome on board, no matter what level your certification. We educate divers from the first contact to be proficient, environmentally sensitive, safe divers who respect not only their own but the safety of those around them, whilst ensuring contact with all marine life is passive and respectful.
Open Water referral requires a student to complete confined water training before joining an MV Blue Manta cruise. All PADI Referral forms to be forwarded to our office before the trip departure.
