Traditionally built, Felicity Maldives is a Turkish gulet that can take you to the marvelous Maldives’ most beautiful dive sites without breaking your budget.

This 28m long sailing vessel is a unique liveaboard with its wooden structure, which offers an ideal combination of fashion and warmth, giving the guests ample opportunities to relax and unwind with open-air decks and air-conditioned restaurants and bars all over the board.

Fully revamped in March 2010, Felicity Maldives can be the ultimate diving vacation for enthusiastic divers. They can have the best of both worlds by enjoying comfort and adventure, with all the stunning views of blue Maldivian waters from over and under the liveaboard.

The spacious decks of the Felicity provide sufficient room for the guests to enjoy the leisure time with a vast sundeck with generously spread sun loungers and comfortable cushioned seats to let the guests soak up the sun or enjoy the beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. There is a shaded area for the guests who want to avoid the extremes of sun or rain or take naps between the dives. You can also choose to eat your meal under the shaded deck.

A large saloon at the main deck offers a fully stocked bar, a flatscreen TV, sound system, and games to let the guests relax or socialize. WIFI services and satellite phones are also available to let you catch up with your friends. Several fun activities for non-divers are also available, including snorkeling, fishing, and island-hopping.

Catering

Professionally trained chef at the Felicity prepares food that includes local and international cuisine and is served buffet style both indoors and outdoors. Beverages are also available all day long.

A hearty barbecue is arranged at some lone beach island to let you enjoy the mesmerizing views of the Indian Ocean at night.

Specific food requirements according to one’s religious or dietary preferences can be catered to upon prior request.

Diving

Ideal for scuba diving for small groups, Felicity operates dive trips throughout the year to the best dive sites of the Maldivian atolls, where you can experience the most brilliantly diverse aquatic life.

Different varieties of shark species, including grey reef and white tip sharks, and other pelagic species like turtles, manta rays and whale sharks, nudibranchs, Napoleon Wrasse, moray eels, reef fish, and eagle rays. Some dive safaris also offer an excellent chance to dive in the stunning shipwrecks too.

All dives are accompanied by professionally trained dive guides who make sure to help you make the best of your diving trip by taking you to the fantastic dive sites safely and securely. The dhoni is fully equipped with safety gear like life jackets, first aid kits, air compressors, and diving equipment. The dive dhoni is perfect for preparing for the dive and getting efficiently to the dive sites. Accompanying dingy offers added safety.

Best of Maldives 7 Nights (Male - Male)

This is the Best of the Maldives – and it delivers exactly that. This is where you dive the best and most famous dive sites of the Maldives in a week of wonderful liveaboard diving across Male and Ari atolls.

Enjoy a dive holiday that gives you all you could wish for from the iconic sites of North Male, South Male and Ari Atoll. Awaiting you are channels, drifts and pinnacles where you have every chance of meeting mantas, whale sharks and mesmerizing marine life of so many varieties. We don’t follow an exact itinerary; flexibility is the word so that no matter what time of the year you visit, this underwater world is yours (and ours) for the exploring.

This itinerary gives you a marine mix of big fish such as shark and manta dives as well as reef dives, reef fish, morays and the abundant macro life. Get up close at the cleaning stations without disturbing the locals! One of the best-known dive sites is Maaya Thila; this pinnacle is approximately 30m in diameter and falls away to reveal sharks and fish a plenty.

night dive from sheltered moorings here is a must! And the boat will also aim to find whale sharks so you can get in the water and snorkel with them…as long as they stay around long enough!

The first and last night of each trip is spent on board at the port.

Highlights:

  • Rasdhoo Atoll: Hammerhead Dive, Beautiful Reef with Pelagics
  • North Ari Atoll: Grey Reef Sharks, Maaya Thila Night Dive, Multiple Manta Cleaning Stations
  • South Ari Atoll: Whalesharks, Beautiful Pinnacles
  • South Male Atoll: Grey Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Other Pelagics, Beautiful Macro Wreck
  • Vaavu Atoll: Grey Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Other Pelagics, Traditional Maldivian Channel Diving

No minimum number of dives needed but you should be comfortable with drift dives as currents can be strong.

Many of the dives on the Best of Maldives, Manta Madness and Pelagic Magic itineraries are suitable for all levels of divers, however, unpredictable and strong currents are to be expected in certain areas. Inexperienced and beginner divers may find some dives challenging and may be asked by the Cruise Director to skip dives that are not suitable for their diving experience. On some dives, the recommended depth is below 18m therefore advanced or Deep Diver training is advised.

All diving is from dhonis or zodiacs to give precise entry and exit points. Experienced divers can dive in a buddy pair unguided.

Complimentary shared airport pick-up times are 11 am and 4 pm. Pickups can be arranged at other times from USD 15 per person.

23 Jan 2022
Sharktastic (Male - Male)
Arrival: 23 Jan 2022
Departure: 30 Jan 2022
Days/nights: 8 Days / 7 Nights
Sharktastic (Male - Male)

In this period the clean ocean water flows in from the eastern side of the Maldives. That means currents running from Sumatra, Indonesia to the Maldives bring with them not just fantastic visibility up to 40m but also a variety of pelagic surprises coming to the reef for a quick feed.

The Channel dives of the eastern coast of the Maldives are the main order of the day. These Kandus, as they are known in the local language (Dhivehi), attract grey reef sharks, dogtooth tuna, and eagle rays as standard but look out into the blue and you never know what surprises await. The outer walls and corners of the channels in Vaavu and Meemu have the added bonus of beautiful overhangs draping in the blues, yellows, and pinks of the majestic soft coral.

After the adrenaline pumping channel dives of eastern Maldives, we cross over to South Ari Atoll to look for the whale sharks and mantas at Maamagili and Rangali Madivaru (Dhivehi for Manta Place) among other great sites such as Kudarah Thila and Kudimaa Wreck known for its potential leaf fish and frogfish.

The first and last night of each trip is spent on board at the port.

Highlights:

South Ari Atoll: Whalesharks, Beautiful Pinnacles

South Male Atoll: Grey Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Other Pelagics, Beautiful Macro Wreck

Vaavu Atoll: Grey Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Other Pelagics, Traditional Maldivian Channel Diving

Meemu Atoll: Grey Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Other Pelagics, Traditional Maldivian Channel Diving

Note:

  • Not suitable for beginner divers. We recommend 30 logged dives as there is a strong current on drift diving.
  • On some dives, the recommended depth is below 18m therefore advanced or Deep Diver training is advised.
  • Unpredictable and strong currents are to be expected in certain areas. If the Cruise Director feels some dives are too challenging, you may be asked by the Cruise Director to skip dives.
  • All diving is from dhonis to give precise entry and exit points.

Complimentary shared airport pick-up times are 11 am and 4 pm. Pickups can be arranged at other times from USD 15 per person.
