Blue Manta liveaboard recent purpose-built dive vessel has a steel hull with a length of 45- and a beam of 9 meters. A great advantage is an optimal stability in any weather condition compared to wooden vessels.

Accommodation

Blue Manta Liveaboard accommodates 18 guests in 14 exquisite and spacious cabins. All have individual air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, and plenty of storage space.

On the upper deck, six twin/double cabins have either a Double or 2 single beds. On the main deck, four cabins have either two single beds or one single and a double. These cabins can take three guests with charters.

On the lower deck are four cabins with portholes and two single beds. These are ideal for single travelers.

Comfort

MV Blue Manta and her crew are dedicated to your convenience and enjoyment. The lounge area on the main deck has large windows, air conditioning, comfortable sofas, a library, and a large flat screen tv.

The sundeck is situated on the upper deck with sunbeds as well as comfortable chairs. Relax in the shade or work on your tan while you enjoy the passing seascapes.

Catering

KM Blue Manta liveaboard chefs take pride in their food and provide four meals a day that will leave you filled and satisfied. 2 breakfasts are served before and after the first dive with freshly baked bread. The early breakfast is light continental; the second is full English.

Lunch is a buffet with choices of Asian and western gastronomy. Afternoon snacks are offered. Dinner is a fine dining experience with either Asian or western dishes.

Depending on your preference, you can enjoy your meals in the lounge or the outside dining area on the upper deck.

Diving

Blue Manta liveaboard has a specially designed dive deck with lots of space for scuba divers and equipment. Each scuba diver has an individual rinse tank.

Freshwater showers and large washbasins are installed to rinse your body and gear quickly.

We have an indoor dry camera room next to the dive deck. This is the perfect area to prepare your camera for the next dive.

A skilled dive guide accompanies small groups of 4. He or she will bring you to the dive sites with a dinghy and support you in every way to have a fabulous and safe underwater experience.

Raja Ampat, Band Maumere

Raja Ampat-Ring-Maumere 11 Days / 10 Nights

Starting in South Raja Ampat, including Misool, you will be immersed in a fantastic array of marine life and diving diversity.  The abundance continues with critters, sea snakes, manta rays, sharks, and much more as we cross the Banda Sea.  Let our experienced crew show you these remote and almost untouched locations with wonderful reefs and stunning drop-offs before we finish our trip with muck diving at its best in Maumere.  We also have known cleaning stations for a potential sighting of hammerheads.

Sample Itinerary

Note; all schedules are subjected to changes according to weather, sea, diving, & local conditions.

Day 1. (0-1 dive) 3 pm Trip Departure day.  Our staff will meet you upon your arrival at Sorong Airport or local hotel and transfer you to the awaiting Blue Manta.  Arrivals before midday are best, so we can check dive at Red Light District (Lampu Merah) just outside Sorong before we get underway by 3 pm for overnight sail.

Day 2-3. (3-4 dives x3 days) Raja Ampat & Misool; Wayil, Fiabacet & Boo area.  Then sail to Koon island.

Day 4. (3 dives) West Seram, Pulau Koon full days diving. Wide-angle diving with vibrant corals and a profusion of fish life.

Day 5-7. (3 dives x2 days) Ring of Fire; diving around Volcanic Islands and stunning seamounts in search of hammerheads, encounter many sea snakes, huge schools of fish, reef sharks, tunas, & other pelagic superstars.

Day 8. (3 dives) Wetar; excellent wall, pelagic life, and fantastic drop-off, sail towards Pulau Alor.

Day 9. (3 dives) Alor; diving around the best sites; Karl’s Dream and Critters diving. Beautiful reefs in (sometimes cold!) clear blue waters, great macro, and fish life.

Day 10. (2 dives) Maumere; nearby Pulau Babi or Pulau Besar.  Sail back to Maumere Port, where you spend last night on board.  Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, have lunch, rest & relaxation, and if need be, an early flight on Trip Departure day.

Day 11. (0 dives) 5am-12pm. Check out after light breakfast & farewells; we transfer to a local hotel or airport. Take your pre-booked flight to Ujung Pandang (aka Makassar), Jakarta, or Singapore

Diving days: 11 days (30 dives)

Note: 3 dives are scheduled per diving day in the Banda Sea*.  This is due to deeper dives and long distances covered between islands.  Where possible, a bonus night dive may be scheduled at the discretion of the Cruise Leader. *Except Trip Departure day & Trip Return day.

Maumere-Komodo

Starting in beautiful Maumere, surrounded by volcanoes and mountains, we begin our journey discovering the outer pristine coral reefs and walls.  Komodo National Park is one of the most iconic diving destinations in Indonesia, famed for its unique blend of adrenaline-pumping current fueled dives, stunning coral reefs, beautiful scenery, and of course, the world’s largest lizard, the Komodo Dragon.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1. (0-2 dives) 3pm. Our staff will meet you at Frans Seda Airport and take you to the awaiting Blue Manta.  Arrivals before midday are best, so we can check dive(s) in Maumere, Pulau Babi, or Pulau Besar before we get underway by 3 pm for overnight sail.

Day 2. (4 dives) South Komodo; Manta Alley to fly with mantas, Cannibal Rock, Torpedo Alley at Nusa Kode.

Day 3. (4 dives) North Komodo; Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, & Shot Gun at Gili Lawa Laut.  Pinnacles drift dives full of action with hunting fish, jacks & sharks!

Day 4. (4 dives) North Komodo; Tatawa Besar & Kecil, Siaba Kecil, & Wainilu.  Tons of Anthias, Napoleon wrasse, sharks, & excellent night dive.

Day 5. (4 dives) North Komodo; Batu Balong & Mantas on the Moon (Makassar Reef)

Day 6. (2 dives) North Komodo; Siaba Bay plus Mawan or Pengah.  A walk followed this on the wide side in search of Komodo Dragons and trekking on one of the local Islands.   Then we sail towards Labuan Bajo, where you spend last night on Blue Manta in Bajo Port.  Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, rest & relaxation, and, if need be, an early flight on Trip Departure day.

Day 7. (0 dives) 5 am-12 pm; Check out after light breakfast & farewells, we transfer to local hotel or airport in time for Check-in & flight.  Take your pre-booked flight from Labuan Bajo to Bali.

The World Heritage-listed Komodo National Park is one of the most iconic diving destinations in Indonesia. Its popularity grows exponentially with every passing season. It keeps guests coming back for more with its unique blend of adrenaline-pumping current fueled dives, stunning coral reefs, beautiful scenery, and of course, the world’s largest lizard, the Komodo Dragon. Whether you love big fish or are a macro enthusiast, Komodo truly has something for everyone; Manta, shark, turtles, eagle ray, and even dolphins can be spotted in crystal clear blue waters of the North, while all manner of macro megastars can be spotted in the cooler, nutrient-rich waters of the Southern areas of the park. It also includes muck diving in Maumere.

Maumere - Alor

Maumere - Alor

Starting in beautiful Maumere, surrounded by volcanoes and mountains, we begin our journey discovering the outer pristine coral reefs and walls.  We sail overnight to Lembata, sailing north or south depending on conditions before sailing to Alor.  Fantastic macro life, stunning coral reefs, an abundance of fish, and schooling pelagic providing excellent diving far from the crowds.  Watch out for larger pelagic in the cooler waters of the South, including mola mola, thresher & hammerhead sharks.  During the surface interval, you may even have the chance to spot dolphins or pilot whales.  Even blue & sperm whales can be seen here.

Day 1. (1-2 dives) 1-3pm. Our staff will meet you at Frans Seda Airport and take you to the awaiting Blue Manta.  Arrivals before midday are best, so we can check dive(s) in Maumere, Pulau Babi, or Pulau Besar before we get underway by 3 pm for overnight sail for Lembata.

Day 2.  (3 dives) Pulau Lembata area, smoldering Volcanoes are reaching down into crystal clear waters fringed with pristine black corals and large sponges.  Sail to Alor.

Day 3.  (4 dives) Treweg Island or Beanbagan.  The latter with black sand, great for critter spotting.  Sail to Alor.

Day 4-5.  (3-4 dives x2 days) Alor & Pantar Strait (Islands of Kepa, Pura, Ternate, & Buaya between Pantar & Alor); nutrient-rich adventurous currents and diversity of dive site formations, make for an abundance of coral and fish, both big and small.  We may visit a local village and substitute for a dive.

Day 6. (2 dives) Alor; chance to repeat final two dives.  Then we sail back to Alor, where you spend last night on Blue Manta in Port.  Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, rest & relaxation, and, if need be, an early flight on Trip Departure day.

Day 7.  (0 dives) 5 am-12 pm; Check out after light breakfast & farewells, we transfer to local hotel or airport in time for Check-in & flight.  Take your pre-booked flight to Bali.

Diving days: 6 days (18 dives)
