Deep Andaman Queen

Deep Andaman Queen, a regal mark on the Thai horizon.

Built in 2008, this 28-metre long liveaboard, with a top speed of 12 knots, is one of the largest liveaboards in Thailand. It was renovated in 2012, to extremely high standards, and accommodates 21 guests in comfort and style. The teakwood furnishings on the deck and in the lounge are just some of the finishing touches that ensure the ultimate guest experience. Deep Andaman Queen will take you not only on Similan cruises, it also makes make trips to the Mergui Archipelago. The diving deck is the pride of the Deep Andaman Queen liveaboard.

Accommodation

Deep Andaman Queen has 9 cabins on the main and lower decks to accommodate 21 guests. All cabins are individually air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms and plenty of storage space.

The luxurious Master cabin on the main deck has a stunning panoramic ocean view over the Andaman sea. A good night’s sleep in a luxurious king size bed ensures you have a fantastic diving experience.

5 Deluxe cabins, also on the main deck, have large windows to provide lots of ambient light. Here too, sleeping in a super-comfortable king size bed means you awaken well-rested and ready for another fantastic day of diving. If you prefer, there are also rooms with two large single beds.

There are a twin, a triple and a quad cabin on the lower deck, with either bunk beds or single beds. The small porthole allows some sunlight into the cabin.

Comfort

Relax between dives on a comfortable sofa in the air-conditioned lounge on the upper deck. The flat screen TV, DVD/MP3 player for entertainment and dive briefings, and the 24-hour availability of coffee/tea and drinking water 24 all add to your liveaboard experience.

Check out the library. There is an extensive collection of fiction, or if you prefer, books on marine life.

Catch the ocean breeze from the comfort of a lounge chair on the partially shaded, spacious sundeck, or relax and soak up the sun on a sunbed.

Catering

Diving is an energetic activity and what better way to maintain your energy levels than with good food. The menu is a combination of Thai, traditional and Western cuisine. The onboard chef of Deep Andaman Queen cooks you three buffet-style meals a day to be enjoyed in the restaurant. Outside, you can have lots of snacks throughout the day in the sun, with the sea breeze in your face. This is sure to satisfy your appetite during the trip.

Diving

Deep Andaman Queen prides itself on having one of the largest diving decks in South East Asia. It has separate entry and exit platforms. Most of the dives start with a huge leap off the diving platform but there is also a zodiac, for backup. There are freshwater showers on the diving deck to rinse yourself off after each dive. 2 large freshwater buckets are also available to rinse dive equipment such as cameras, dive computers and fins.

Nitrox is available to certified Nitrox divers, at an extra fee. Certification courses are available during your liveaboard trip.

ITINERARIES

These are example itineraries to give you an indication of the liveaboard cruises. The final cruise might be different due to weather, sea conditions and/or guest experience. The final call is always with the boat manager and the captain of the liveaboard. This to ensure your safety as well as to give you a dive holiday never to forget.

Myanmar
  • Departure Port: Thap Lamu Pier, Khao Lak
  • Return Port: Thap Lamu Pier, Khao Lak
  • Length: 8 Days / 7 Nights (Approximately 22 dives in total)
  • Experience level: Open Water – No minimum logged dives required.

Day 1: 15:00-18:00 Pick up and transfer you Tablamu Pier.
20:00 Arrival at MV Deep Andaman Queen in Tablamu pier.
Welcome drink serves – Cabin allocation – Staff introduction – Boat briefing – Welcome Dinner – Leave from Tablamu Pier travel overnight to the fantastic dive sites of Similan.

Day 2: Enjoy with 2 dives at Koh Bon and Koh Tachai then follow by 2 dives at the Richelieu Rock. After diving will have a night cruise to Ranong for immigration on the next day.

Day 3: In the morning we will clear border formalities at Ranong-Thailand and Kawthoung in Myanmar before cruising out towards islands of Myanmar. Exploring 3 dives at High Rock, Rocky Island and Shark Cave areas

Day 4: 4 extremely exciting dives at the Black Rock

Day 5: Happy dives at North Twin, Shark Cave and Stewart Island

Day 6: Morning dive at North Rock then follow by Fan Forest Pinnacle and 2 more dives at Western Rocky

Day 7: Two dives at Western Rocky then returning to Kawthoung for checking out from Myanmar and back into Thailand.

Day 8: 2 wreck dives at Boonsung and another wreck in front of Khao Lak.
12:30 – 14:30 Leave the dive site for Tablamu Pier lunch and debriefing on the way back.
15:00 Disembarkation at Tablamu Pier
15:00 – 18:00 Transfer back to your Hotel in Phuket, Air Airport & Khao Lak Area.
